College and universities are all about good grades, degrees,
and saving money. As we all know furthering our education beyond high school
can get heavy on the pocket. Most of us are aware how the semesters are broken
down, although some classes start earlier or later than others typically we all
work around the same time period (semester). As we enter college life a lot of
us will experience stress, and of course lack of sleep. Some people go to college without knowing what
career they want to pursue, but eventually throughout the courses they take it
gets easier to decide. Most of us know what kind of profession we want and ,are
aware what kind of programs are offered in order to obtain a certain
degree. We all want to get something out
of our college experience weather it’s a
degree, certificate, or just more
knowledge on a certain subject, but we all must do work in order to learn
something new. We all learn differently and at a different pace. By allowing
classes to be around seven and a half weeks long in a university it can benefit
some students. First of all it allows students to finish their courses much
faster, for those who do not want the whole fifteen week semester this may be a
good solution. Since the course will be shorter this means a faster pace, and
the work load will be the same just condensed into a much shorter time period.
Although the intentions for these kind of classed are intended for fast paced
students, some may need more time. I guess it really depends on what kind of
class you take. Science classes usually require a good amount of studying and
practice in order to succeed in those types of courses. Other classes just
require completing modules to finish the course like a math class. It really
depends on what kind of classes work with your schedule. Weather we want a fast
paced course or the usual fifteen week course it all depends what you are
capable to achieve.
I agree that it depends on what class you take if the class needs to be shorter or longer. Science classes do have a lot of material and need a little extra time to learn with lab. It does all depend on what works for our schedule and what we need to fit with us.
