Entry#8 It's Yezzy Tho!
Yeezy, The rap god, Yezus; you know who it is the infamous Kanye West. One of the most recognized rappers in the world just proves that money changes people. I have always been a fan of Kanye West because the way he raps is phenomenal. Ever since he entered the rap world he has always excelled and dominated in the game, but with all this fame it did change him. His earlier music was actually ear pleasing like the song “slow jamz”. A lot of people refer to it as a classic because it is pretty old. In addition to that it features the rapper twista, and who doesn’t remember twista? He was one of the fastest yet good rappers back then. As years progressed and people started to refer to Kanye West as a “god” the more he believed it. On one of his album covers he has an image of himself with some sort of crown on his head sitting on a thrown and with beautiful women around him. This particular album cover seems to portray him as a “god”, many people adore this, but at the same time it can be offensive for those who are religious. His music and image soon changes as well as his attitude. In videos you can see that he puts himself to be a rap god. He claims that he is a genius in a lot of things like fashion and business. With all his successful songs it seemed like he entered the fashion world as well. One of the best sneakers he did was the nike yeezy which sold instantly, but of course people put so much hype about it that the prices were ridiculously overpriced. It’s funny how people put so much importance of rappers, and later on despise them because they changed. I mean a rappers success really depends on us because we choose whether or not they are any good. Even though his attitude got more cocky people still liked him regardless of the things he said and the music he produced. A lot of us know that he recently released his new clothing line, and people actually liked it. I don’t get why they like it, because it looks like a star wars costume, but since its Yezzy it has to be good. His clothing items are like in the thousands, and if you notice all of them are all one color with some distress on it, and of course since its Kanye people actually pay that kind of money for his items. Personally I do not know Kanye , but it seems like he is starting to get more cocky as the checks get bigger.
I don't even know how to begin this comment because you nailed it so well in your entry!! The like '05(ish) Kanye was way better than what he turned into. I haven't seen his clothing line yet but I heard it looks like homeless people clothes. And did you hear his song Black Skinhead from a few years back - "I keep it 300 like the Romans". WOW!! I don't know how you feel about Kendrick Lamar but that is just about the only artist I listen to know especially with lil Wayne's lyrics falling off.
ReplyDeleteI only liked Kanye's first two albums. He definitely fell off, because he isn't humble, and his music isn't authentic anymore. I love Kendrick Lamar because he's so real and although his success may carry on a legacy, he still seems so humble.
